I'm on Day 3 and loving it! I'm slightly breaking the rules and wearing an outfit outside of these pieces tonight, but it's because I'm dressing up as Mary Poppins at Disney's Not So Scary Halloween Party! But I think everyone should be proud that the only money I spent was $2 for red lipstick at the Dollar Store! Everything else was in my closet or borrowed! Have a lovely weekend.

So it begins.

Hi y'all! I'm Lauren, and I'm so excited to start this blog to chronicle my journey of doing what I can do as a partner to my husband Jon as we pay off student loans. My largest commitment -- that I've had the most shock and disbelief when I tell people -- is to give up clothing shopping until we're debt free. #nomoreclothestilnomoreloans -- I'm doing it, people. We're hoping to knock these loans out in two years. I have far more clothes than I need, and this is totally doable.

I'm not a fashion blogger, and I don't think I ever will be. I tried it one time. Yeah, it didn't work. I'm too self-conscious about posting dozens of pictures of myself in cute, tucking-my-hair-behind-my-ear-while-I-perfect-my-half-smile poses. That's not me. But showing how I'm saving money by remixing clothes that I (and you) already own? Yeah, that's me. This isn't a fashion blog - it's a work with what you have blog. We're finding the cure to #NTWS ... aka Nothing To Wear Syndrome.

While I will be posting on other topics as well, I'm kicking things off by linking up with Caitlin @ Greater Than Rubies for her October 31 Ways/31 Days to remix 20 pieces for October.
I'm so excited to start this capsule wardrobe remix! I'm ready to find some new outfits, and to begin my journey of living on less, and loving it.

Have a blessed, beautiful day!

Lauren
